About Us

The NSW Academy of Gymnastics was founded by Bill Parsons in 1971. He has coached and developed children from the age of eighteen months up to twenty four years of age.  Bill was awarded the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Coach / Coaching Team of the year in New South Wales in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and was also awarded an Australian Sports medal for his services to the sports of Gymnastics in the 2000 Olympic Year. The Academy has a prestigious record of achievement at regional, state, national and overseas competitions. In 2012 The Academy won Women's Gymnastics Club of the Year at the annual Gymnastics NSW Awards Night, a testament to the dedication and hard work of our coaching team and gymnasts alike.  The Academy is recognised worldwide and provides their gymnasts with the opportunity to train and be coached by Olympians and Olympic coaches at the Academy and abroad.  We offer a fully equipped Olympic Gymnasium Centre with accredited coaching staff providing expert and safe supervision. The centre provides a disciplined and family friendly environment with air-conditioned family viewing facilities complete with video monitoring. Our motto is FUN-FITNESS-HEALTH-PERSONAL BEST and our success is measured by the number of second generation gymnasts at the Academy today and the contribution our past gymnasts are making to The Academy and the community.
